Contemporary French calf backed marbled paper boards (backstrip worn away, shaken).
The fine Atlas volume to accompany La Harpe's epic "Abrege de l'Histoire Generale des Voyages..." published in 32 volumes between 1780 and 1801. The maps and charts, many by Jacque Nicolas Bellin (1736-1803), cover all regions of the globe, and include maps to accompany Cook's voyages, South Africa, Japan, and many maps depicting North America.
