The first general map of the American colonies.
STATE 2, with the inclusion of "The Richohockans" to the west of the Appalachians, and FELIS LAKE next to the Royal Arms and the addition of a large amount of placenames. The map was issued separately. "This is probably one of the earliest maps to use the material given in Lederer's map; it agrees with Ogilby ca. 1672 as against Speed 1676 in having "Eruco R" as a tributary to Roanoke River"--Cumming 73. McCorkle 673.1.
Shows Carolina, locating Charles Town, Port Royal, Port Carteret, &c.; also Virginia, Maryland, New York, and New England. A fine map issued before Pennsylvania was founded
